For me, photography is not just an image, like a scan of reality, it’s a bit of magic and always a story. Like a shot from a film. Or a spotted moment.

What is it to be a PROFESSIONAL photographer? Yes, it’s a profession, it’s a lot of knowledge, skills and experience. And experience is not only in using your camera. It’s automated internal process of creating your product, the processes of communication, styling, shooting, processing, designing, printing and packaging. It is the skills of planning, communication, copywriting, marketing, branding, sales. It is constant learning, mastering new methods and techniques, programs and applications, speeding up and improving processes.

Perhaps it’s the creepy nerd in me, trained by many years of office practice and the give-and-take experience of a marketing director, editor, and publisher. But I’m sure it was all that wonderful kit that created my approach to business.

And maternity leave turned everything upside down and made me feel that every moment of life is unique and gave me an overwhelming desire to take pictures – smiles, hugs, walks, first teeth, clouds in puddles, wind in hair and hand in hand. And now for 7 years my profession – the photographer.
